Instances of Tools

Instances of tools may be accessible from the Tools menu. That is, when certain tools or extensions have been started and not quit during a Chimera session, a menu item of the form

Tools... Tool_name

or (depending on the tool or extension)

Tools... Tool_name - data

exists, where Tool_name is the tool's full or abbreviated name and data is the name of the data being shown or manipulated by the tool. There can be multiple instances of the same tool with the same data file or different data files. A submenu for each instance contains the options:

Raise - open the tool interface (if closed) and bring it to the front
Hide - close the tool interface without exiting
Quit - exit from this instance of the tool
